India to give go ahead for installation of DRDO’s Anti-Drone System
This will help in identifying and eliminating aerial threats. And could provide the Indian Armed Forces an advantage in intercepting, detecting and destroying the enemy drones. The system uses a laser-based kill mechanism to detect and destroy the drones in the air.
It has the capability of detecting and neutralizing UAVs,
and the radar system offers 360 degree coverage.
The system can identify and jam micro drones upto 3
kilometers away and shoot laser signals at targets upto 1-2.5 kilometers away.
With the help of Electro optical/infrared sensors this system can detect drones
upto 2 kilometer away. A radio frequency (RF) detector can detect RF
communications upto 3 kilometer away.
DRDO’s RF/Global Navigation Satellite System detects the
frequency which is being used by the controller and then the signals are
jammed.
Does Russia's MiG-35 Fighters Have a Future? Medium
Weight Fighters May Struggle to Find Buyers
The
MiG-35 is a medium weight multirole aircraft with '4++ generation' capabilities
developed as a lighter and cheaper counterpart to the better known Sukhoi-57.
MiG35
fighter has advanced avionics which facilitate the use of a wider range of
weapons against aerial, naval and ground targets such as KH-38 cruise missiles
and R-37M air to air missiles. The introduction of artificial intelligence,
laser weapons, helmet imaging, an increased fuel carrying capacity,
sophisticated electronic warfare systems and advanced anti-missile systems.
Many
of the fighter's characteristics are equivalent to those of a fifth-generation
aircraft, with its only outstanding shortcoming being its lack of a stealth
airframe.
Many
counties favoured a heavily enhanced variant of the MiG-29M & newer &
cheaper Chinese J-10c over the MiG-35, It is likely that Russia will only
further neglect development of MiG-35 fighters in future.
F-35 pilots must stay away from Su-35 if they don’t
want to be shot down
How will four F-35 react to four Sukhoi thirty fives? Most likely it will
change course and call the F-22 Raptor and F-15C Eagle because those are
fighters designed for air superiority.
Unfortunately, in actual combat conditions, it is not always possible to
choose the optimal solution, so it is possible that the F-35 pilot will have to
manage on his own instead of relying on his teammates.
If the above situation occurs, the F-35 pilot should use the aircraft’s
stealth capabilities as well as the advantage of the advanced avionics system
to fight out of sight, avoiding close contact, close range, otherwise the F-35
can easily shot down by the Russian Sukhoi-35.
This statement may surprise some people, but the fact is that the F-22
Raptor was originally designed for aerial combat, and the F-35 Lightning II was
not designed for this.
F-35 is not as maneuverable as the F-22, & even the F-16 or F/A 18. So,
when it comes to the Sukhoi-35, there is only reasonable maneuvering of the
aircraft.
Rafael Unveils Sea Breaker – 5th Generation,
Maritime & Land-based Long Range Attack Weapon System
Sea Breaker provides
surgical, pin point precision strikes from standoff ranges of up to 300 kilometers.
It features an advanced IIR (Imaging InfraRed Seeker), ideal for engagement of
maritime and land targets, stationary or moving, in advanced Anti Access or Area
Denial arenas, as well as for engagements in which previous generation RF seeker-based
missiles are not effective.
Sea Breaker can be
launched from naval platforms, varying in size, from fast attack missile boats,
to corvettes and frigates. Using Artificial Intelligence, Sea Breaker performs
deep learning and big data-based scene matching, a unique combat proven Rafael
technology, enabling Automatic Target Acquisition and Automatic Target
Recognition.
India’s second aircraft carrier INS Vikrant has
China in its sights
Sea trials of the warship will begin as early as next month as New Delhi
seeks to counter China’s growing influence in the Indian Ocean.
India’s first domestically developed carrier will boost its offensive and
surveillance capabilities, and make a statement about its technological prowess.
The Indian Navy is to start sea trials of its first domestically-built
aircraft carrier in a move that will boost its ability to counter China’s
growing presence in the Indian Ocean.
Sea trials of the INS Vikrant are expected to begin as early as next month.
The Indian government has called its new carrier its most potent sea based
asset and an incomparable military asset.
The carrier will operate Russian-built MiG-29K fighter jets and KA-31 early
warning helicopters, US built MH-60R multi role helicopters and domestically built
Advanced Light Helicopters.
The new aircraft carrier would provide India with more options for a wide
range of scenarios, including another crisis with China.
