Russian F-35, J-20 Export Ban, INS Tabar, F-22 deployed at Pacific, Tejas Foc

Why China’s Mighty J-20 Stealth Jet That Competes With US F-22 Raptor Is Banned For Sales?

China is very proud of its stealth fighter, the J-20 ‘Mighty Dragon’. The fifth-generation twin-engine stealth fighter symbolizes the country’s technological achievements and its ability to match the West in advanced technologies.

China claims that J-20 is equal to the US F-22 Raptor and even superior in some aspects.

So it seems, there are two main reasons behind Beijing’s unwillingness to sell the J-20 in the international market.

One, China fears that its fifth-generation technology will fall into the wrong hands and be copied. Two, Beijing wants to avoid an arms race in the fifth-generation technology between its allies and those of the US.

While these two factors may have some influence on China’s decision not to export the J-20. There are other more practical reasons that Beijing prefers not to highlight publicly.

IAF to soon take deliveries of 4 FOC Tejas-Mk1

After suffering three months of delays due to the Second wave of pandemic in the country, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is said to be readying four Final Operational Configuration of LCA-Tejas Mk1 that will be handed over to IAF by end of this month. HAL Chairman recently claimed that 10 more will be handed over in March 2022 but with restricted production capacities, pandemic delays and disturbed supplied chain means that, deliveries of 10 jets might not happen in March.

HAL is working overtime to recover lost working hours but instead has managed only manufacturing SP 21 and SP 22. SP 19 and SP 20 were manufactured in the Previous Financial Year 2020-21. SP 17 and SP 18 already have been handed over to the IAF. Delivery of SP 23 to SP 32 by March 2022 will be too heavy of a task.

HALL had plans to manufacture the first 16 LCA-Tejas Trainer for Financial Year  2022 to 23 and commence production of the remaining 2 Trainer for Financial Year 2023 to 24 along with the production of 8 upgraded Tejas Mk1A fighter jets that were ordered by IAF earlier this year.

Leaked Images Of Russian F-35 Stealth Fighter Jet Take Social Media By Storm

The “promising combat aircraft” will compete with the US fifth generation stealth fighter, F-35.

Russia will unveil the much-anticipated fighter jet at the latest edition of MAKS air show.

In the past few days, several photos and videos have surfaced on social media platforms hinting at the Russian fighter jet or its prototype.

The images doing the rounds on social media show a full-size airframe wrapped in a black protective covering.

American fifth generation stealth fighter F-35 is already operating in 13 countries while landing a significant new deal with Switzerland Air Force this year.

Russia is pitching this new jet as an export item that it desperately needs to get into the selling stealth fighters business.

INS Tabar enters Port of Brest in France

As part of the ongoing Overseas Deployment, INS Tabar entered the Port of Breast, France on 12 July 21. The ship was received by a Ceremonial Guard of the French Navy on arrival in Port.

On departure from Port, INS Tabar will participate in a Maritime Partnership Exercise with French Navy warship FNS Aquitaine.

INS Tabar means “battle axe” is the third Talwar class frigate of the Indian Navy.

The ship’s surface to air weapons systems include one single rail MS 196 launcher. Eight Igla 1 E portable air defence missiles are on board for short range threats.

Tabar became the third Indian warship to incorporate an “eight cell KBSM Vertical Launcher” and was the first to upload the new Indian/Russian designed missile, the supersonic BrahMos PJ 10 Missile.

INS Tabar has one 100 mm Dual Purpose Gun mount for surface and air targets.

Two Kashtan Air Defence Gun/Missile mounts are INS Tabar’s Close In Weapons System.

US Air Force to send dozens of F-22 fighter jets to the Pacific amid tensions with China

The United States Air Force is sending more than two dozen F-22 stealth fighters to an exercise in the western Pacific this month, an unusually large deployment of the powerful jets that analysts say sends a strong message to a possible adversary China.

Pacific Air Forces in Hawaii this week said approximately 25 F-22 Raptors from the Hawaii Air National Guard and from Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska, will deploy this month to Guam and Tinian islands for Operation Pacific Iron 2021.

The F-22s are fifth generation combat jets, the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft, incorporating stealth technologies and connecting on board sensor systems with off board information systems to give their pilots a detailed view of the battle space. US F-35 are another example.

Deploying a large number of F-22 Jets for the exercise sends an immediate message to China at a time when relations are tense over Pacific flashpoints like Taiwan and the South China Sea.
