Greece might look at India for BrahMos Maritime Coastal Batteries

Amid growing clamor to establish a military link with India, some Greek Politicians and defense analysts in the country have been urging Greece Government to procure BrahMos Next Generation Maritime Mobile Coastal Batteries for the Navy from India to counter its rival Turkey’s rapidly growing naval strength.

Greece and France recently signed a $2.8 billion Rafale deal this January. Greece is purchasing 18 of those 4.5 generation multirole jet fighters and also placed orders for 3 French built Belharra frigates. Greece is facing growing threats from Islamic Turkey that is growing its Naval capacities at rapid space and has been planning to argue its Naval capabilities over the last few years.

Greece Navy was always interested in the procurement of BrahMos Anti-Ship supersonic cruise missiles but being a NATO country it was difficult for them to procure a weapon system that was co-developed using Russian technology installed in the frontline warships. BrahMos Maritime Coastal Batteries is a new derivate that is under design from 2019 onwards and Philippines is set to be the launch export customer of such system.

China sends in 100 rocket launchers to fortify border with India

China has deployed more than 100 advanced long range rocket launchers to its high-altitude borders with India, as the two sides remain deadlocked over their protracted boundary disputes. People’s Liberation Army was ramping up defences in preparation for the Himalayan winter and in response to the Indian Army’s deployment of three regiments with M777 ultra-light howitzers along the contested Line of Actual Control with China.

The PLA has deployed more than 100 PCL-181 light, truck mounted howitzers along borders with India. The firing range of this Chinese developed launcher is double that of the M777. The latest development of the border talks reminded the PLA to remain vigilant even though winter is coming.

Indian Army had used helicopters to deploy the M777s to the front line, while other heavier artillery guns were transported via roads built in the past few years.

Indian Navy rubbishes Pakistan claim of blocking its submarine

Indian Navy sources on Tuesday outrightly rejected claims by Pakistan’s military that it had blocked an Indian submarine from entering into the country’s waters last week. Pakistan army’s media wing, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), released a video clip and issued a statement on Tuesday claiming that the submarine was detected by a Pakistan Navy patrol aircraft on October 16. The statement said that the submarine was blocked from entering into Pakistani waters.

However, Indian Navy sources said the GPS coordinates in the video show the submarine’s location around 140-150 nautical miles from Karachi, which are international waters. Territorial waters extend to just 12 nautical miles from the coast. It could be any country’s submarine in the video. There is a question mark on the authenticity of the video itself. Moreover, Pakistan has made such dubious claims in the past also.

T-Works built hybrid UAV that covers 45 kilometers range

T Works successfully designed, developed, and tested its indigenous vertical take-off and landing autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle, covering 45km in 33 minutes. This puts T-Works among the few organisations in India at present that can design, fabricate, integrate, and operate long range VTOL hybrid drones.

The airframe and its components were designed and fabricated by T-Works, using software design tools, 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC routing machines currently available at the Phase 0 facility in Begumpet, Hyderabad.

The Airborne Medical Rapid Transport, with a 2.5 meter wingspan, is a hybrid UAV – launching and landing vertically like a conventional drone and then flying forward like a conventional winged aircraft. The VTOL motors are powered by a 10,000 mAh battery and forward flight is powered by a 30cc gasoline engine. A winged aircraft consumes up to 75 per cent less power than a conventional multi rotor since the wings help produce the additional buoyant force. The Airborne Medical Rapid Transport design can carry much heavier payloads over much larger distances.

Zooming At Mash 5 Speed, China’s Untraceable Orbiting Nuclear Missiles Present Grave Threat To Global Democracies?

On October 18, the Chinese government denied having carried out a widely reported missile test last August.

The August test involved a nuclear capable hypersonic missile that circled the globe before speeding towards its target & indicated China had made astounding progress on hypersonic weapons and its space capability had advanced far beyond US intelligence estimates, even though the glide vehicle missed its target by about two dozen miles or nearly 40 kilometers.

However, China has denied any such tests, This denial is quite serious, however, as this test is another piece of evidence showing China’s increased development of ballistic missiles and their nuclear program as a whole.
