Mission Tawang: PLA Army Heading Towards India’s Arunachal Pradesh, Will Seize Key Disputed Points: Chinese Social Media
China’s claim over India’s Arunachal Pradesh, which the communist nation calls “southern Tibet”, is nothing new. The border state has been witnessing a lot of Chinese activity and the latest social media propaganda calling for the seizing of Tawang could add fuel to fire.
There are other strategic reasons for China’s interest in
Tawang. This town is a significant location in the corridor between the
Brahmaputra Valley and Tibet. Such a position allows it to provide a strategic
entry into India’s north eastern region, especially Arunachal.
For Beijing, gaining control of Arunachal would translate
into an achievement since it would then be surrounding the kingdom of Bhutan on
the landlocked nation’s western, as well as eastern borders. Quite obviously,
this is a security threat for both Bhutan and India. This inevitably makes
Tawang important for both countries.

Why India might induct Russia’s New S-500 System?
Later this December, India will take delivery of the first S400
Air Defense System. Russian Ministry of Defense, which recently announced that
Both China and India are set to be export customers of Russia’s New S500 Air
Defense System that is designed to swat down both air breathing and Ballistic
missile threats.
The Russian military is currently carrying out pre service
trials of the S500, after which the system will begin to be deployed
operationally. S500 system is not to be seen as an upgraded Air Defense System
but rather as a supplement to the existing long range S400 Triumf surface to air
missile system to defeat the entire spectrum of existing and future attack
weapons (hypersonic) in the entire range of altitudes and speeds.
Indian S400 Air Defense System consists of Two main
Interceptor missiles which are 40N6E missile (400km) and 48N6 missile (250km)
that allows each S400 battery to be configured to fire a range of two different
missiles, to tackle threats of various kinds and at different ranges and
elevations. S500 comes with a 77N6N-series missile which is a hit to kill
missile designed with an inert warhead capable of hitting its target at 600km.
S500 is there to supplement S400’s capabilities of its anti access and area
denial (A2/AD).
77N6 not only has more range but also additional capabilities
over both 40N6E and 48N6 Interceptor missiles in tackling much more effectively
hypersonic glide vehicles and hypersonic cruise missiles which is why India
will procure them due to serious advances made by the Chinese in the Hypersonic
regime and their ability to manufacture them in mass.

China Launches New Ballistic Missile Submarine That Can Strike
US Mainland From Indo Pacific Itself
China’s rapidly expanding fleet of nuclear-powered submarines
has long been a cause of concern for the US, as it is equipped with one of the
most powerful submarine launched ballistic missiles (SLBM).
China’s newly commissioned nuclear-powered submarine could
pose a big threat to the US mainland. In recent years, Beijing has worked
significantly towards the development of long range SLBMs.
New information about China’s (SLBM) and nuclear ballistic
missile submarine SSBN fleets is included in this report. It also contains
information on the Pentagon’s assessment of these Chinese unwater vessels.
The People’s Liberation Army Navy currently has six Type 094
SSBNs, commonly known as the Jin class each capable of carrying 12 JL-2 SLBM
Missiles.
A new Type 096 SSBN, as well as a JL-3 SLBM, are currently
being developed. China’s new SLBM is believed to allow it to attack the United
States mainland without leaving its waters or, in some cases, its ports.
