US Air Force Shares A Sneak Peek Of US B-21 Stealth Bomber That Could Send Shivers Across Russia & China

The US Air Force shared a new image of its next generation Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider. According to defense experts, this is part of the US efforts to combat the rising threats from China and Russia.

Northrop Grumman is known to be the primary contractor for the B 21 bomber. It also built the B 2 Spirit, “the US first bat wing stealth bomber”.

The B-21 is designed to perform long range conventional and nuclear missions and to operate in the high-end threat environment in the future, the B-21 will be a visible and flexible component of the nuclear triad.

Additionally, it will be able to employ a broad mix of standoff and direct attack munitions.

It will fly both on conventional as well as nuclear missions, According to the reports, The US Air Force will receive at least 100 B-21 Bombers soon.

Greece Must Equip Its Rafale Jets With Indian BrahMos Cruise Missiles – Greek Media

After acquiring French Rafale fighter jets, will Greece acquire Indian BrahMos cruise missile to enhance its deterrence capabilities and cement defense relations between the two countries.

In a mission to overhaul its armed forces and military arsenal, Greece could partner India, as India’s production of weapon systems could change the course of things for Greece.

The BrahMos missile would be a formidable weapon in the new French made aircraft, which would cause panic in Turkey in combination with the ability of Greek pilots.

This development assumes significance as it comes amid deepening security and defense ties between Turkey and Pakistan.

The BrahMos cruise missile system is a joint venture between India’s DRDO and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyeniya NPOM.

 

The first supersonic cruise missile capable of flying at a speed of Mash 2.8 (almost three times the speed of sound with a range of 290 kilometer and Brahmos NG has an extended range of 500 kilometers.

HAL to partner with Bengaluru start up to develop HAPS, a futuristic High Altitude Pseudo Satellite

The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will soon get the approval to develop a futuristic High Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS). The programme is spearheaded by the HAL in partnership with a Bengaluru based startup.

It will take a minimum of 3 to 4 years to develop HAPS before it is inducted. HALL is already working on its design. It is a giant leap in technology. It will weigh more than 500 kilograms, will be solar energized and can fly at 70,000 feet and stay there for months.

The solar powered aircraft are designed to act as a bridge between the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and the conventional satellites.

The project will be such that a manned aircraft will operate within the boundary and the unmanned aircraft will enter the enemy zone and can carry out strikes deep inside the enemy territory.

Bharat Dynamics Limited signs Rs 499 crore deal with Indian Airforce for Aakash missiles Manufacturing & Supply

With the announcement from the Union Cabinet regarding clearance of Aakash Weapon System for Export, the Company is exploring offering Aakash for export to foreign countries.

Bharat dynamics has already received export leads from some countries expressing interest in procuring the Missile. The Company has a well-established infrastructure and expertise to execute these orders and meet the customer delivery schedule.  

Aakash is one of the missiles under India’s Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) being manufactured by Bharat Dynamics, both for the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force. The Missile has been successfully test fired on several occasions and is regarded as one of the best missiles in its category.

INS Kiltan has become the strategic flag bearer of India’s Act East policy

The indigenously built INS Kiltan is an anti-submarine warfare stealth corvette. The warship is the third of four Kamorta class corvettes being built under Project 28.

The INS Kiltan portrays the growing capability of the Indian Navy and the significance of Make in India in the defence sector.

The INS Kiltan is India’s first major naval ship to contain a superstructure of carbon fibre composite material. This allows for more enhanced stealth features and lower costs for overall maintenance.

The warship also utilises a largely indigenous collection of advanced weapons and sensors, such as heavyweight torpedoes, anti-submarine warfare rockets, missile decoy rockets, an advanced electronic support measure system, and a highly advanced bow mounted sonar and air surveillance radar, among many others.

The INS Kiltan is part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Naval Command, which is the flag bearer of India’s Act East policy. A major component of India’s strategic engagements in East Asia centres on naval cooperation and maritime security.
